Generate and PlayThe English dictionary contains more than 100.000 words including at least one definition. As a result it is possible to generate a grid with associated clues automatically and to step in Solve mode without knowing the grid that has been created for you. 1) Dictionaries selectionIn order to play the grid after generation, it is necessary to work with words that have at least one associated definition. This can be achieved by filtering words in the Dictionaries thumb in the control panel:  2) Select a grid patternSelect the size of the grid you want to play with the button  in the toolbar. You can also create a given grid pattern or load one with it: menu Edition > Load pattern ...Read section Edit grid pattern to get more information on grid pattern edition. 3) Generate the gridFill the grid automatically thanks to the generator: menu Tools > Grid Generator. Read section Fill up with words to get more information on the gird generator. When generation is completed, Q-Word asks you if you want it to add definitions from the dictionaries automatically. You can also switch to Solve mode if a definition has been found for all words. Select yes for the two questions:  As all the words in the dictionaries have at least one definition, Q-Word can associate a clue with all the words and switch to Solve mode without revealing you the generated grid. |
