Puzzles from Internet

Q-Word can read puzzles in Across Lite(R) Format, which is very popular on Internet. Here are some sites where you can download some of them:

http://www.cruciverb.com/
http://puzzles.about.com/
http://www.btinternet.com/~ed.xword/

Puzzles in this format can be imported thanks to the menu command File > Import. Some puzzles in Across Lite(R) format are available in the directory \Puzzles of the Q-Word installation directory.

Solve puzzles from magazines

Q-Word can help you to solve a puzzle from a magazine by populating a list of words that can be fitted in the grid. To do that you must begin by creating the puzzle pattern you want to solve in Creation Mode. Only the black squares must be defined. More information on pattern edition can be found in section Edit grid pattern.

Then you can enter the definitions given in the magazine for every word slot as described in section Fill clues

Once the puzzle entered in Q-Word you can solve it by switching in Solve Mode, as described in the next section.
