| Overview
Q-Word is a powerful crossword puzzles maker enabling you to create professional and fun puzzles. Its interface is attractive and intuitive. You can create puzzles automatically thanks to the generator or you can build them by hand. You can also use Q-Word to help you to complete a puzzle from a magazine or to solve grids imported from Internet (Across format).
Manual construction
Q-Word offers a valuable help when you want build puzzles by yourself. The interface proposes you a list of words that can be fitted in the selected cases, with regard to the neighbouring letters. In addition, the grid is colored in order to show you letters leading to sequences impossible to complete.
Puzzles generator
Q-Word has a built-in crosswords generator. This generator can either works on puzzles with predefined black squares or it can generate the black squares by itself. The generator is quick, even with large puzzles. Here are several puzzles generated with a dictionary of about 500 000 words:

English dictionary contains more than 118 000 words with definitions. Q-Word offers the possibility to generate thousands of grids with clues you can play immediately !
Help for puzzle solving
Q-Words allows you to solve puzzles by proposing you words that can be fitted in the selected cases. Moreover, it is possible to refine these words by cross checking with the neighbour words.
If Q-Word knows the puzzle, it is also possible to reveal or to check selected cases or words.
Page layout and printing
You can easily define the page layout of your puzzles and print them. You can choose the print font as well as the distribution of the definitions around the puzzle.
